Yahoo closes Geocities. What happens to your website?!

Posted by admin

Yahoo has decided to shut down GeoCities today, rendering thousands of users’ home-pages unserviceable. Yahoo is doing this in order to follow a business strategy that focuses more on Yahoo’s core businesses. However, this basically leaves the normal guy, with his homepage, in the dark. Literally. After today all GeoCities’ homepages will no longer work, and the users’ content deleted irrevocably.

What should you do?

There are plenty of other hosting companies which are runing a scheme for Geocities at the moment I personally have compared hosting companies such as Dreamhost, Servage, Powerweb, Hostwire, Gogaddy, Ixwebhosting, Hostgator, and Hostmonster. The one i would personally recommend with the best offer at the moment is Dreamhost, rather than other hosting companies becaouse they are giving away two year hosting for free. Without paying a penny you would be able to carry on hosting your webpage free for two years with unlimited Disk sapace also with Unlimited Bandwith allowance and on top of that they are giving away a free domain, what else are you asking for ?

All you need to do is visit their website which is www.dreamhost.com and register your website with the promotion code which is “I’m off to DreamHost!

  2. I’m always reading about the “Great Apes.” What’s so great about them? How come we never hear about any “Paltry Apes”?
